Cleaning your Washing Machine
Washing machines are subjected to a lot of nasty things and needs a cleaning like anything else. Detergent and mineral deposits, dirt, and liquid fabric softener films are just a few you will find. The grime builds up after each wash and decreases the ability of the machine to clean effectively. It can even cause a bad odor.
1) Remove the bleach and fabric softener dispenser
2) Fill the tub with hot water and add 2 cups of white vinegar
3) While the cycle is running, soak and clean the dispensers
4) After the first cycle drains , run one more hot cycle without any clothes
If you a cleaning a front loading machine you can substitute the vinegar the bleach. Do NOT mix the two. The bleach will help with any mold problems you might have.
